Privacy policy

This policy explains what information repositioningcruises.org collects, why, and what you can do about it. It was last reviewed in September 2026.

Who we are

Repositioningcruises.org is an independent publisher of cruise travel guides. We do not sell cruises, take bookings, or handle payments.

What we collect

Analytics data. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which articles people read and how they arrive. This records pages viewed, approximate location (city level, derived from IP and not stored as a full IP address), device type, browser and referring site. We use it in aggregate. We cannot identify you from it.

Server logs. Our host records standard web server logs, including IP address, timestamp and requested page. These are used for security and troubleshooting and are retained for a limited period.

What you send us. If you email us, we keep that message so we can reply to it.

Cookies and advertising

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. This site uses them for analytics and, where advertising is enabled, for ad delivery.

We use Google AdSense to show advertising. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technology to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other sites. You can control personalised advertising in your Google Ad Settings, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work, though some measurement will be incomplete.

Your rights

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to processing. In practice we hold very little: we run no user accounts, no newsletter list is sold or shared, and analytics data is not linked to a named person. To make a request, email us using the address on our contact page.

If you are in California, you have the right to know what personal information is collected and to opt out of its sale. We do not sell personal information.

Third parties we rely on

  • Google Analytics for audience measurement
  • Google AdSense for advertising, where enabled
  • Our hosting provider, for serving the site

Each of these has its own privacy policy governing what it does with the data it receives.

We link to cruise lines, booking sites and other publishers. Once you follow a link, that site’s privacy policy applies, not ours. We have no control over what they collect.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top. Material changes will be noted on the page.
