Celebrity Repositioning Cruises 2026-2027: Edge-Class Crossings, Fares and What’s Included

Celebrity repositioning cruises are mostly Atlantic crossings, and the ship you choose changes the price more than the route does. Our finder lists 37 one-way Celebrity sailings departing October 2026 to December 2027, each checked on celebritycruises.com in late September 2026. Sixteen are transatlantic crossings of 13 to 16 nights, and 12 of the 37 are on Edge-class ships, the line’s newest and most expensive.

When we compared fares on Celebrity’s own site in October 2026, the Edge-class crossings cost up to about twice as much per night as similar crossings on the older ships. That gap is the main decision on a Celebrity crossing, so most of this guide is about it. The current sailings are listed below this guide, and you can filter them in the repositioning cruise finder.

Celebrity’s 2026-2027 repositioning schedule by route

Bermuda is the most common stop on the Atlantic crossings, appearing on 10 of the 16, followed by Cartagena and Malaga in Spain, Gibraltar, Ponta Delgada in the Azores and Lisbon. Few Celebrity crossings use the Canary Islands, which is a difference from Princess and Norwegian. One unusual routing: Celebrity Silhouette sails from Cape Liberty, New Jersey, to Reykjavik in June 2027, 13 nights via Nova Scotia, Newfoundland, Greenland and Iceland.

Edge class or an older ship: the price gap in real fares

The five Edge-class ships are Celebrity Edge, Apex, Beyond, Ascent and Xcel. In our data, Xcel, Ascent and Apex cross the Atlantic, and Edge moves between Australia, Hawaii and Vancouver. The rest of the repositioning program uses the Solstice-class ships (Solstice, Equinox, Eclipse, Silhouette) and the smaller, older Millennium-class ships (Summit, Constellation, Millennium).

These are the lowest fares celebritycruises.com showed for a sample of crossings on October 6, 2026. They include taxes and fees, are per person for two sharing, and change daily, so treat them as a snapshot of the gap rather than a price list.

On a 16-night crossing, the difference between $61 and $133 a night is more than $1,100 per person. Whether it’s worth paying comes down to what the newer ships give you on a sea day, which is mostly space and glass.

What an Infinite Veranda means on an ocean crossing

Most Edge-class veranda staterooms have what Celebrity calls an Infinite Veranda: instead of a separate balcony behind a door, the veranda area is part of the room, closed off by glass you open at the touch of a button. Celebrity puts the total at 243 square feet including a 42-square-foot veranda area, about 23% larger than a Solstice-series veranda stateroom.

On a Caribbean week, travelers argue about whether that beats a traditional balcony. On a November North Atlantic crossing, it has a clear advantage: you get the sea view and the extra space on days when nobody would sit outside. On a warm southern-route crossing in spring, a traditional balcony on an older ship gives you more usable outdoor space.

The public rooms follow the same idea. Celebrity Edge carries 2,918 guests at double occupancy on 130,818 gross tons, and the design leans on outward-facing, glass-walled spaces and the Magic Carpet, a cantilevered platform that moves between decks and works as a bar or venue. The older ships have more traditional enclosed lounges. Both handle a gray sea day; the Edge class does it with more light.

Pacific moves: Sydney, Honolulu and Vancouver

Celebrity Edge and Celebrity Solstice spend part of the year in Australia and part in Alaska, and the moves between produce eight sailings in our finder. Southbound in September and October, Vancouver to Honolulu takes 9 to 11 nights and Honolulu to Sydney 17 to 18 nights, via Pago Pago, Fiji, Tahiti or New Zealand. Northbound in April and May, the same pair runs the other way.

The legs connect. Solstice leaves Sydney on April 9, 2027, reaches Honolulu, and leaves Honolulu for Vancouver on April 23. The calendar dates work because sailing east across the International Date Line, you live one date twice. Which Celebrity ship does which move

Eleven Celebrity ships appear in our finder. This is how their repositioning sailings divide up, which is useful if you already know which ship you want.

Two linked pairs stand out. Celebrity Summit sails Tampa to Los Angeles through the Panama Canal on April 18, 2027, then Los Angeles to Vancouver on May 3, a 21-night trip from the Gulf Coast to British Columbia on one ship. And Celebrity Constellation is the line’s Gulf Coast crossing, Rome to Tampa in 16 nights in October 2027, a useful arrival for travelers in Florida’s west coast or the South.

All Included: what it covers and what it no longer does

Celebrity sells most fares with or without its All Included package. According to the All Included FAQ, it covers the Classic Beverage Package with its beverage gratuities and Basic Wi-Fi, with Premium versions of both for Retreat suites. What it no longer covers is crew tips: packages bought from October 4, 2023 onward do not include gratuities beyond those built into the drink package.

That matters because the old version of this guide, and much of what is still written about Celebrity, says All Included bundles tips. It doesn’t, unless a specific promotion adds them. Read the fare description on the booking page before comparing a Celebrity crossing with a line that does include gratuities. Gratuities on a Celebrity crossing

Celebrity’s gratuity FAQ lists $19.50 per guest per day in Inside, Oceanview and Veranda staterooms, $20.50 in Concierge and AquaClass, and $24.50 in The Retreat. A 20% gratuity is added to drinks, specialty dining, spa services and room service. On a 15-night crossing, a standard veranda comes to $292.50 per person, or $585 for two, before a single drink.

Add that to the per-night fares above and the gap between ships narrows slightly in percentage terms, since gratuities are the same on every ship. It does not close. Celebrity’s FAQ says guests can change the amount at the Guest Relations desk at any time before the morning of disembarkation, so you don’t have to accept the full charge if service falls short on a long voyage.

Choosing a Celebrity crossing

Celebrity sits between the mass-market lines and the premium ones, with better food than most of the mainstream tier and a quieter, more adult crowd. Against Royal Caribbean, its sister brand, Celebrity has fewer activities and more space to sit. Our comparison of cruise lines for crossings places it among the strongest all-round choices.

For most travelers the practical rule is simple. If you want the newest ship and will use the cabin and lounges a lot, book an Edge-class crossing in the fall, when Xcel, Ascent and Apex all head west, and pack for cool days.
